 FAQs

  • Yes, Left Coast Fitness (LCF) is a private personal training gym. Membership fees help us to keep the gym private, professional, clean, well-equipped, and staffed. More specifically, these fees mean that: the public at large is not allowed, and we operate on an appointment basis; we curate trainers to represent LCF—not every trainer fits the LCF culture; we can purchase new equipment and maintain/ repair equipment; and we can hire front desk staff to help members and offer frequent daily disinfectant cleaning.

  • You can either purchase a membership in person at the facility front desk or through our management software, MindBody. You will need to create your own MindBody account through the MindBody App if you want to manage your account online. We recommend this so you can update/ change payment methods with ease. This is especially helpful when payment methods expire or are compromised and can help you avoid a $25 late payment fee. We will always make an attempt to contact you personally and/or through your trainer to let you know your payment method has been refused.

  • We have two options:

Month to Month Personal Training: This contract means you have hired an independent personal trainer who works at LCF. You may come into the facility to train with your trainer by appointment and do a cardio workout before or after your training session but may not come into the gym at will. This contract is for one year, but you may cancel at any time with notice. The 12-month term is price protection for you, the member; we may raise membership fees at any time, but your price is protected for the length of your contract.

Open Gym Month to Month: This contract means you have hired an independent personal trainer who works at LCF. You may come into the facility to train with your trainer and do a cardio workout before or after your training session AND may come into the gym any time during Open Gym hours. This contract is for one year, but you may cancel at any time with notice. The 12-month term is price protection for you, the member; we may raise membership fees at any time, but your price is protected for the length of your contract.

  • We also offer discounted personal training and open gym memberships for seniors (70+) and active/retired military.

  • Month to Month Personal Training and Open Gym Month to Month: 12 Months. Can cancel at any time (with notice) contract.

Personal Training and Open Gym Memberships also come in longer and shorter terms: 1 year, 6 months, 3 months.

These are paid upfront and there are no refund options if the member wants to stop training before the end of the term. They are also available at senior and active/retired military rates.

  • Yes! You can read the contract on MindBody as you purchase it, or there is a hard copy at the front desk.

  • Membership fees are set for the duration of any contract. Upon contract renewal or new purchase, new membership fees may apply.

Fee increases will be announced via email 30 days prior to their taking effect. LCF is not responsible for invalid or incorrect email addresses.

  • Yes. The contract states that after six months of auto-draft membership payments as noted by MindBody, a member may suspend their account for a minimum of two months for whatever reason. During this two-month suspension, the member may not access the facility for training. Shorter-term suspensions for special circumstances (medical, for example) are considered on a case-by-case basis. To avoid members ending contracts and then rejoining to avoid short-term membership fees, there is a $50 administrative fee assessed to members who end contracts then attempt to rejoin within one calendar year. Shorter-term contracts are more appropriate for members who are aware that they will have extended absences.

  • The member must initiate termination of the contract. This termination must be in writing, and we prefer that you use the cancelation request page here.

  • Notice is 10 days. Watch your billing date to make sure you give notice in time to avoid being charged for time after you’ve stopped training.

  • If we have made a billing error, we will graciously and expediently process a refund to the payment method on file. Outside of that circumstance, our policy is that once a payment has been settled refunds are not available.

  • You can reach out to us using this email at anytime.
