Are Supplements Necessary For Working Out?

Are supplements necessary for working out?

We get asked this question a lot by our clients:

Are supplements necessary for working out?

The answer is that the topic of supplements is broad, but is also very individualized based on a person’s needs.

If you have just begun a weight training program, one supplement that almost everyone can benefit from is Branched-Chain Amino Acids (commonly referred to as BCAAs).

BCAAs are three specific amino acids: leucine, isoleucine, and valine.

They are three of the nonessential amino acids our bodies need; as they are essential because our bodies do not produce them, and we must get them from what we eat.

BCAAs are considered an “ergogenic”, or performance-enhancing supplement because they aid performance, stamina, and recovery.

BCAAs reduce muscle soreness because while taking them you experience less muscle tissue damage.

You can take BCAAs before, during, or after your workout.
